This life size sculpture in bronze expresses the loyalty and devotion of a Military Service Dog for his fallen Master. The mission of this sculpture is to honor the many canine service animals that have demonstrated such brave dedication and unwavering loyalty to their human partners, both in times of war and also in times of healing. The grief and loss is evident in the eyes of the dog and his extended paw reaching out to his fallen friend, and hero.
The title, "My Hero, My Friend," tells the story of the mutual admiration that both had for each other in life, and in death.
My sincere hope is that this sculpture touches your heart and brings a tear to your eye. It does mine.
